About the author:

Tom Humphries, deputy director of the teacher education program, and taught at the University of California, San Diego, Department of Communication. He is currently coordinating a project, training of deaf children teachers use bilingual teaching. Prior to this, he taught at Gallaudet University Department of English for several years, and later served as vice president of the San Diego Community College District, the coordinated development of the ASL program and an interpreter training program. He holds a doctorate in intercultural communication and language learning. Dr. Humphries is of Author Carol Paddon deaf from cultural and other books and articles related to ASL and Deaf culture in the United States: the sound.
Carol Paddon is a Professor at the University of California, San Diego, Department of Communication, her teachers of language, culture and media courses. She is a graduate of Georgetown University (Georgetown University), and received a doctorate in linguistics from the University of California, San Diego. Her recent research includes young deaf children’s reading development research, she wrote a great deal about the cultural life of the United States deaf. She received a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship, and her work in addition to many other awards and funding.
